The page is finished, but apparently these markers aren’t going to put themselves away.

Come reset my colouring desk with me ✨ I’m chatting through my desk setup in the captions as I tidy, so if you’ve ever wondered what’s going on just outside the frame of my colouring videos, here’s a little tour.

It’s funny how “I’ll just use a few colours” always ends with half the collection on the desk. 😅

There’s something so satisfying about putting everything back and having a clear space ready for the next page. How long it stays that way is another question…

Are you a tidy-after-every-session colourist, or does everything stay out?

Man, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions with this page. I was so pleased with the waterfall and sunset, and then the rest of the page happened... Definitely "trust the process" - swipe through to the end to see the finished page.

I don't know what I was thinking changing the eyes, but they kind of work? Maybe? The fur, trees and foliage were also a challenge. BUT, I did it and am overall pretty happy with the page.

At least I know how to colour waterfalls now 😅

Did I need another set of pens? Maybe not. Did I buy a new set anyway and have actually been reaching for them a lot? Yes!

I snapped up the Ohuhu Wai Momi Acrylic Roller Pens after a restock, and they’ve earned their place in my colouring supplies. I love adding fine details over alcohol markers, and the colours work better with my Honolulus than the gel pens I already owned. 💜

They do have a few quirks, though! Swipe through for what I’ve enjoyed, what’s frustrated me, and how I use them alongside my brush acrylic markers.

Have you tried the Wai Momi pens yet, or are you still deciding whether they’re worth adding to your collection? 👀

This was one of those pages where I thought I'd start out with a smaller palette, but it morphed into a larger one 😅 They didn't all fit in my hands so had to use the marker holder!

Absolutely stoked with how the fireplace and aquarium glow turned out!

This page is so cozy, guitar practice while a storm rolls in. ⛈️

I tried a lightning effect in the window, using bright flashes against the blue-grey sky to add to the stormy atmosphere. ⚡

BUT, I'm not super happy with how the glow from the fairy lights turned out - luckily the pages I'm doing for spooky season will keep me practicing!

Balancing warm light inside with the cooler tones outside was a good challenge, though, and there’s always something to learn from a finished page.

This palette (Desert Sunset) didn’t win the vote, but it still deserved a page of its own.

One of the “losing” palettes from my You Pick My Palette poll a couple of weeks ago finally got its moment, and I love the dreamy feel it’s ended up with. ✨

The clouds were definitely the biggest challenge! I used acrylic markers over the alcohol marker base, and matching the colours so they worked together took some experimenting.

The pink and golden sky with that mint-green bike makes me imagine a relaxed slow ride home from the markets. 🚲

Imagine you’re planning your next cute DIY project

Imagine you’re planning your next cute DIY project in the basement. You’re excited, grabbing supplies... then you get that feeling of eyes on you. You stop moving, certain you heard something behind you, but now it’s just quiet—the silence of someone there trying not to make a sound. 👀 😰

A sobering fact: Australia’s 2021–22 ABS Personal Safety Survey found that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 15 men had experienced stalking since age 15.

What caught your eye first—the colours or the figure at the window?
