Same leafy sea dragon, same colours — but the background completely changes the feel of the page!

I love how much the colours pop against the dark blue but there’s something about the lighter version too… 👀

I had this page in my head for awhile before finally laying any markers down. I used a few reference images on Pinterest to get the blue/orange/yellow palette and I think it really pops! Finally posting this page inspired by @teracoloring palette from a few weeks ago. I really love the whimsical feel @annaemiliastudio books, but find I put alot of pressure on myself to get the palette and look just right! I think I'm improving my glow effect each time I do it, and this book will give me lots of practice.

Sometimes a colour palette gives me inspiration for a page and other times, like on this #girlmoments page, the page itself inspires my colour direction. I immediately knew this was going to be a night scene, with an autumn feel to it! Had a lot of fun trying to create a foggy effect and the pattern on the coat.

I loved the palette I used on the Soulful Nook kit

I loved the palette I used on the Soulful Nook kitchen page, I had to use it again! My second attempt was from Girl Moments, and I don't think it was as successful, I went a bit nuts with the acrylic markers for the glow and I think I overworked it. Still love the calm, cosy feel to the page though!
