Some colouring pages end up meaning a little more than others 🥹

I knew as soon as I saw this page in Girl Moments that I wanted to make it my own. Instead of just colouring the little doodles, I filled them with pieces of my own high school years — some silly, some sentimental, and some that ended up shaping who I am now.

It’s funny how something as simple as a colouring page can bring back so many memories. 💜

My Cozy Countdown is officially here… but this is as far as I’m going 😂 I’ve opened the parcel, but the book itself is staying SEALED until December 1st!

I’m determined to do this properly and open each day as it comes — which means absolutely no peeking between now and then 🙈

How I made this shower curtain actually look trans

How I made this shower curtain actually look translucent 👀🚿

The trick was colouring what’s behind the curtain rather than just adding shadows on top!

I started by lightly marking out the objects underneath with pencil, then:
✏️ Coloured the base of the shower curtain
🕳️Added the shadows and folds to give it some shape
🧴 Once the base was dry, coloured the objects showing through from behind
✨ Finished with white pencil and pen highlights to bring back the shine

I love how such a simple technique makes it actually feel like you’re looking through the curtain rather than at a flat coloured surface.

Supplies used:
🎨 Ohuhu Honolulu B alcohol markers
✏️ Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
🤍 Grabie Extra Fine white pen

I wanted the view outside the window to have that soft, hazy early-morning glow, like she's stayed up all night to get a project done. Once I found the right inspo, I carried those warm sunrise tones through the rest of the page.
I love how the sunrise completely changes the mood of this page 🥰
